Dear Reader, The following are the Ten Commandments. They reveal the character of God. It is the Law of the Lord written on our hearts. 
  1. - You shall have no other gods before me
  2. -You shall not make for yourself an idol  (An idol can be anything, for example: Money)
  3. - You shall not take the name of the Lord in vain. 
  4. - Remember the Sabbath day to keep it holy.
  5. - Honor your father and mother
  6. -You shall not murder 
  7. You shall not commit adultery  (Jesus said that looking upon a woman with lust is committing adultery at heart)
  8. You shall not steal
  9. You shall not bear false witness (Lying)
  10. You shall not covet. (Exodus 20)

Well, we all have broken one of these, especially the last one. No matter how small the lie, no matter how worthless is the thing stolen (a pencil maybe?), it's still lying and stealing.

  These things are abomination in the sight of God. God is just, and  just like a good judge, anyone who breaks the Law will not enter Heaven.
"But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie..." (Revelation 21:9)

"For the wages of sin is death..." (Romans 6:23)

The kind of death mentioned here is eternal death: passing eternity without God, in hell, where will be weeping and  gnashing of teeth. 

That's when God comes in in his great love. He sent his Son to die and suffer on the cross to pay for your sins. Now comes the second part of Romans 6:23,

 "...but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." 
A free gift...
Repent of and confess your sins to God, accept Jesus into your heart.  
Jesus said:
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life."

 Do you?







"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16)

Una Lección de las Golondrinas

Mirando las golondrinas en la esquina de nuestra cochera... Los tres pajarillos en su nido aguardan... esperando solo una cosa: el alimento que les traerán papá y mamá. Y mamá y papá, son un equipo. Un equipo muy diligente, dedicado a cumplir una única tarea. ¿La misión? Alimentar a sus polluelos para que crezcan y se conviertan en las golondrinas que el próximo año estarán haciendo la misma cosa que ellos. Criar a la siguiente generación. Papá y Mamá golondrina cooperan, no para enriquecerse, hacerse famosos, ser de buen nombre... No, sino que trabajan para criar a sus polluelos, juntos . ¿No es esto lo que Dios describe como el rol de los padres en la familia? ¿De la unidad en el matrimonio? La crianza de los hijos es una comisión sumamente importante. Es de gran estima, algo inapreciable. No se puede llevar a cabo con éxito si no es con el poder de Cristo en la vida de dos creyentes. Creo que podemos aprender varias cosas de las golondrinas, y de muchos animales.

Iturbide

 Por Natalia Santana Navarro                         Agustín de Iturbide nació en 1783 en Morelia. Nació dentro de la vida de un criollo: su padre, quien tenía amistad con el  cura Miguel Hidalgo, era español, mientras que su madre era criolla. A los 15 años de edad, Iturbide ya trabajaba y era buen jinete en el ejército.  Se casó los veintidós años con la hija de un importante comerciante y hacendado. El Virrey Calleja lo promovió a teniente del ejército a esa misma edad. Agustín Itrubide, quien  como soldado era exigente y cruel,   no perdía sus batallas. Y en lo político, Iturbide no simpatizaba con el movimiento Insurgente, parcialmente porque estos habían dañado propiedad de su padre. Fue el negarse a participar en la insurrección de 1810 que lo ascendió a capitán.                              Por ser acusado de hacer mal uso de recursos, fue expulsado del ejército. Sin embargo,  en 1820,  el Virrey Apodaca lo asignó   jefe de tropas para combatir al ejército de Vicente Gue
